The Benelux head office of Weleda is located in Zoetermeer. There is a beautiful herb garden in front of the door. That is not marketing: Weleda produces on a large scale from Switzerland, Germany and France, and on a small scale from the herb garden at each location.

Serving completely different markets

The production and distribution of Weleda Benelux is divided in three areas: an international wholesaler, a webshop for private individuals and professionals and orders on prescription. This results in a warehouse with loose items and large pallets mixed together. The most important things for Weleda: quality of the goods and a flexible warehouse. 

Making logistics simple

When they became a customer, Weleda was already working with Business Central. However, what would help the pharmaceutical company was a good Warehouse Management System, linked to Dynamics. Together with the end users at Weleda - in the office, in the quality department and in the warehouse - we were able to create a complete solution with HB SmartTrade and Tasklet. 

Never make mistakes again

Weleda has two warehouses. Orders are received in Business Central, after which a packing slip with routing is compiled for the order pickers. The new way of working ensures fewer obsolete products and a streamlined order process.
In 2011, we were asked to roll out HB SmartTrade for other countries. This way, the way of working can also be adopted at other locations.
